Above you are the stars and below you is the earth.

Like the stars your love should be a constant source of light, and like the earth, a firm foundation from which to grow…

Congrats on the amazing choice you have made to commit to your partner by having a ceremony! Whether your witnesses will be family and friends, the natural world around you, or both, it is so powerful to speak out loud the intentions you have for your love and marriage to each other.

Taproot Journeys is here to help make your wedding ceremony something you and your guests will remember always. As a licensed Shamanic Minister with the Venus Rising Association for Transformation, and with over 15 years working as a special event planner and ceremony facilitator, you can have confidence that I will ensure your wedding ceremony flows with ease and grace.

We also specialize in creative and alternative ceremony to show your love for your partner. Sometimes weddings are about blending two individuals’ lives together. Other times the wedding ceremony is about honoring the differences couples have through ceremony. Whether it's a Celtic handfasting ceremony or something we co-create together, we got you!

ELOPEMENT IN ARIZONA

Your wedding is considered an elopement if it is just the wedding couple with no more than three guests.

The state of Arizona requires that two witnesses sign the marriage license. Your photographer can double as a witness. Let us know if you need suggestions about photographers. If you need a witness they are also available for a fee of $25 per person (paid directly to the witness and travel fees may apply).

If you would like me to help coordinate your elopement this can be arranged for an additional fee (depending on what and how much coordination you need).

GROUNDING CEREMONY

Years ago I created a ceremony for before a wedding/handfasting. The idea was to gather the bride and her friends a day or two before the wedding to ground together before the inevitable chaos of a family wedding. Similar to a bridal shower but with more focus on setting intention for the ceremony that will take place in a few days. If you are interested in co-creating this type of circle contact me for a free 20-minute chat about what this might look like for you.

Blessing of the Hands

by Rev. Danial L. Harris

These are the hands of your best friend, strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that, even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving the you same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.
